If I wanted a car that bad, I'd drive the shit out of it and hoon it long into the night, paint be damned.

Why spend the money and not? For true historical cars, obviously thats not the case...that however is a Mustang with snow on it.

So I actually went to the googles to see what actual facts I could find. Most say if its not driven at all, and therefore gets no salt on it its ok but to wax it before driving. Basically though rain and snow are not totally clean and I wouldn't want shit sitting on the car for that long.
